sciences, innovative healthcare delivery systems, Data Analytics and Bio-IT, Assisted 50 companies and non profits with education, training, product development, fund raising, interactive web communications and marketing. Also helped them interact with the University of Michigan. - Senior Vice President, Business Development – Triada Inc. - Data mining & Process Monitoring - Ann Arbor, Silicon Valley, & London, UK. Sold $ 10 Million in software licenses and services to major healthcare organizations (for fraud, waste and abuse monitoring) and quality monitoring. Recruited, trained and managed the company’s sales and marketing organization and strategic partners. Brought in a team of product development experts to develop a new pattern recognition product line for healthcare fraud, waste and abuse identification. Raised $ 8 Million in venture capital.
- Founding Director, (Assistant Dean Equivalent) Technology Transfer (Innovation, Commercialization & Entrepreneurship) - University Of Michigan Medical School & Health System (UMHS). Set up the Office of Technology (Transfer), recruited staff and doubled the number of disclosures, patents, licenses and startups in the system over a three year period. Instrumental in raising $15 Million in government (mainly NIH) and private sector grants and contracts. Areas of activity: Genomics, diagnostics, biophysics, medical devices, medical imaging and visualization, medical lasers and ultrasound, healthcare IT systems and decision support, online medical training, alternative medicine to improve wellness and cut costs. Established commercialization training for faculty, staff and students. Introduced the leadership of the health system to new types of electronic health record products, IT decision support systems, alternative medicine, behavioral health & virtual reality. Worked with the recently retired NIH Director - Francis Collins MD, Ph.D. - on University Of Michigan Genome Center intellectual property. Established effective and successful collaborative relationships across the university, with healthcare organizations in Michigan, throughout the country and abroad. - Worked closely with major corporations in Michigan and beyond on improving healthcare quality and reducing costs.
